BBC NEws - IRAN SANCTIONS EXPLAINED IN 5 OBJECTS

World TV, INSTagram, twitter, facebook and online

The effect of US sanctions in Iran have dominated headlines in 2019. Despite some claiming that they don’t effect the people, our Iranian colleagues at the BBC World Service know, first hand, that this is not the case.

Off the back of our success with the bright, punchy vaccines explainer, I wanted to see if we could apply a similar visual treatment to a more newsy topic. I’m particularly pleased with the creative ways we incorporated archive footage and presenter links.

The final video ran in different iterations across all platforms from World TV to iPlayer, the website, Facebook, Twitter and even as a highlighted story on @BBCNews Instagram.
