Off the coast of Mozambique is an island where traditions are upheld and fragrant flowers grow. Life on Anjouan is hard but the drive to prosper is evident.

Island Stories is a series of six, four minute films for BBC News Online and BBC World TV, as well as a half hour programme for BBC Two and BBC News.

The closing shot in this film was our third attempt at a day to night time-lapse with stars! It was shot over 11 hours using a 360 degree robotic camera mount. Travelling to so many remote places with little light pollution, I had always wanted to get a time-lapse with stars constellations and we were so pleased with the end result that we made a separate, short film about it for Youtube.
