A week after Russia's military invaded Ukraine, I asked BBC Correspondent James Waterhouse if he we would work on making a the first longer-form programme for the then pilot News on iPlayer team.

I edited this film using existing footage filed by correspondents from across Ukraine in that first week and then asked James to re-record the script from the basement he was broadcasting from in central Kyiv.
